Ciara is an award-winning journalist from Ireland (currently living in the UK) who has worked in social news, television and radio broadcasting over the past 20 years.  

 

She is currently the Assistant Editor of Social News at BBC News overseeing some of the biggest social news accounts in the world such as the BBC News Facebook page, BBC Breaking Twitter, BBC News Instagram and Tiktok accounts. 

Ciara has worked as a producer, reporter and presenter for stations such as BBC World News, BBC Breakfast, RTE, ABC NewsRadio, Newstalk, Radio Kerry and LBC Radio. 

Ciara also presents a wide range of Instagram and Facebook lives for BBC News. She has a passion for covering Women's health including endometriosis, PMDD, PCOS, Painful Periods and much more.
